As the 2013-14 co-director of ImPRint Communications, the PRSSA Nationally Affiliated student-run public relations firm associated with the PRSSA at LSU chapter, I had many responsibilities and duties. Throughout my term, I maintained client relationships, seeked out new clients, completed and delegated client projects, managed the firm members, hosted firm meetings, provided professional development opportunities and much more. Moreover, I served as a leader and mentor to the firm members and reinforced the practice of ethical public relations.

PRSSA National Affiliation
Because one of my main goals as firm co-director was to become PRSSA Nationally Affiliated, I worked tirelessly in the summer of 2013 to rebrand and restructure the firm to meet the high standards this honor and recognition requires. This included building a new firm structure, creating a website, establishing a social media presence, writing the firm handbook, creating all client collateral and unifying all firm materials. After months of hard work, I submitted our firm's application. We were honored, humbled and proud to have received the recognition and be in the ranks of the best student-run firms in the nation.
Website
Before I took over as firm co-director, the firm had no website. Because of this, potential clients, members and interested parties had no means of learning more about our services or membership. I supported the development and management of our website, which offers general information about the firm as well as information tailored to members, potential members and potential clients.
Firm HandbookBecause we restructured the firm completely, many changes had to be made to our firm handbook. I was in charge of updating the handbook to reflect our current firm policies. Our firm members vote on the changes at the beginning of each semester, and all changes were unanimously approved.

Firm Rate SheetSince our firm accepts paid clients, we created a rate sheet to offer to potential clients so they could get a better idea of the services we offer and our rates.
|
Firm Sample Client ContractWe drafted a sample client contract so that potential clients can know what to expect from us and outlines what we expect from them. It is available for viewing on our website and is sent to potential clients for review.
|
Firm Membership AgreementBecause we hold our members to higher standards, we believed it was necessary to create a membership agreement for members to sign off on. This helps us hold members accountable for their actions.

Social Media
When I first became director of the firm, I helped build our online social media presence by creating content for our Facebook and Twitter platforms. I now oversee the firm's Communications Assistant as they manage the firm's social channels.
