During the spring 2014 semester, I completed a service-learning public relations campaigns course. As a service-learning course, I was paired with six other students to create a campaign for a local nonprofit client. My team operated under our agency, Belle Public Relations, where we worked alongside Connections for Life, a 12-month reentry program for women coming from prisons, battered women’s shelters and other referral agencies to foster the development of a healthy lifestyle pattern for women who are in transition from dependence to independence. To increase awareness and raise funds for Connections for Life, we planned a fashion show and silent auction event, "Fashion for a Cause." Throughout our campaign, I served as design director where I was in charge of creating the overall look and feel of the campaign as well as designing and creating client deliverables. Campaign plan book
Our campaign plan book details how our agency assisted the client in achieving its public relations goals and objectives. It was made for both the client and our course professor, Dr. Jensen Moore. As the design director, I was in charge of the design of the entire book. I also compiled all sections and made edits along the way. In addition, I wrote parts of the "Implementation" section.
The flier was created to help promote the event. We posted the fliers around LSU’s campus and distributed copies to Connections for Life, churches and local businesses. I created the entirety of this flier.
A sponsorship package form was created to outline the various sponsorship packages and what sponsors would receive for their contribution and support. I created the entirety of this form.
Facebook event cover photo
A graphic was created for the Facebook event page cover photo to catch people’s attention and allow for sharing of the event. I created the entirety of this graphic.
The event program was given to attendees to inform them about the evening’s schedule and recognize both sponsors and donors. I created the entirety of this program.
Silent auction donor card
A donor card was created for the silent auction that listed who donated the item. I created the entirety of these cards.
This donation form was used to record information from event donors, sponsors and/or patrons. I created the entirety of this form.
An event ticket to provide proof of sale was created to give to all of those who purchased a ticket from a member of the campaign team. I created the entirety of this ticket.
Save the date email blast
An email blast through Mailchimp was created to send to potential event supporters to inform them about the event and lead them to our Eventbrite page where they could purchase tickets. I designed the entirety of this email.
Silent auction bid sheet
A silent auction bid sheet was created to describe the auction items and allow event attendees to bid on the item and provide their contact info. I created the entirety of this form.
An information card was created to collect event attendee contact information. I created the entirety of these cards.
